Clay Castles

This is a four part workshop. Students will make clay bricks/stones using terra cotta for the construction of their castles. Castles will be fired and then painted with acrylic paints. Castle furnishing will be made using a variety of recycled materials.

Gamemaking Unplugged

We will take a look at the history of board games followed by the challenge of making some of them. We will make dice and spinners and all the fun stuff that it takes to make board games a blast to play.

Papermaking

Tuesday, June 19 and Thursday, June 21
10:00 am - 12 pm

Papermaking is fun and messy! We will be using cotton paper pulp as well as recycled papers to create beautiful paper on the first day of the workshop. On the second day students will use their handmade paper to create paintings and collages.

Woodworking

Students will learn how to use wood carving and basic hand tools. Projects will include woodcut prints and sculptures.

Evanston Children's Choir

Concert choir: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:15-5:45 pm
Main choir: Wednesdays, 4:15-5:30 pm
Junior choir: Mondays or Fridays, 4:15-5:15 pm

Cost is $150 per semester for Main and Junior Choirs and $195 + uniform cost for Concert Choir.

All ages run off that cabin fever! Not a drop off activity! Parents must stay and help supervise. Homeschooling families come on out and enjoy one open gym space, tot equipment, and sporting equipment. Great social time for parents too!

Homeschool Youth Soccer League

Cost: $30 membership fee per family and $10 per child for team jersey

A youth soccer league made up of homeschool youth, parent coaches and referees. All welcome to play, ages 3 through teens. Weekly practices organized by local team coaches, monthly games.

Boy Scout troop

Small local Boy Scout troop. Great troop, great outdoorsmanship. Boys start around age 11 and continue to age 18. Troop meets Monday nights at 7:00 pm at Northminster Presbyterian Church (Central Park and Grant).
